Frequently Asked Questions

Misconceptions abound when it comes to massage therapy: what it is, what it isn’t, and how it works. Here are the answers to the questions that I’m most frequently asked and of course, if you have any further concerns, just go to “Contact” and reach out!

  • Not at all! You can schedule a stand-alone massage or stretch therapy appointment, or go ahead and schedule several sessions at once. Of course, we love to see our patients receive the full spectrum of wellness care, so the option to start the chiropractic corrective care program will always be an option for you to start at anytime..

  • Now that I am working at a larger practice where I’m never the only one in the building, yes!

I am able to provide massage and stretch therapy services to any of Dr. Chris’s patients, as well as any clients who come to receive massage and stretch therapy outside of a chiropractic care plan.

  • You’re not alone in this! Believe it or not, I actually had never received a professional massage before I started massage school.

On the day of your initial appointment, I ask that you arrive about 10-15 minutes early to fill out an intake sheet and medical history. Once that’s finished, I’ll walk you through everything you need to do: how to undress, where to put your things, what to do with your arms… everything. And if you have any questions about what I do, please ask! I want all of my clients to be fully comfortable when they’re on my table, and part of that is being adequately educated.

  • Undressing is completely up to you! During your massage, you will be covered with a sheet and blanket and will only be undraped in small sections as I get to them. For example, I’ll pull the sheet back to expose one leg while I work on it and it will be covered right back up when I’m done. Regardless of what’s being worked on, you will be covered from chest to groin (unless you’re lying on your stomach receiving work on your back) according to Kentucky law. Any abdominal and upper hip work will be done through the draping, and if you’d rather not be undraped at all, I can do the whole body through the sheet as well! So how you’re dressed under the draping is completely up to your discretion! If you’d like to remain fully/mostly dressed, I do ask that you wear athletic clothing. The standard is to remove everything except your underwear, but some women do prefer to leave their bras and/or shorts on. It simply comes down to whatever you’re most comfortable with.

  • Stretch therapy can be done without any undressing at all, so for your comfort it’s recommended that you wear athletic clothing. Tight-fitting clothing and bulky fabrics like denim may inhibit the full range of stretching.

  • If you need to make changes to your appointment, please call the front desk at 100% Chiropractic and one of our lovely chiropractic assistants can help you with that!

If the phone lines are busy or you require assistance outside of business hours, please call me at 270-551-5131 and I will do my best to assist you.

  • We accept card payments and insurance for massage and stretch therapy services.

I also personally accept tips via cash and card transactions through Square.

  • As stated in the “Values & Beliefs” on my “About Me” page, I will not and will never use MLM products on my clients. I also will not buy into the business opportunity and prey on my clientele to make some extra money while they’re just trying to receive care to improve their quality of life.

    Thank you for understanding.
