Fall 2023 Hiatus & Relocation

When I opened my practice in December of 2022, I knew my time in Murray would be short-lived.

For those who don’t know me personally, I’ll be getting married in September of 2023… and as excited as I am, this also means that I will then be leaving Murray immediately after and relocating to Bowling Green, KY to be with my new husband.

That’s not all, though.

After considering our current financial situation and our more immediate goals, I’ve made the difficult decision to keep KBHH’s figurative doors closed for my first year in Bowling Green. Despite this, I fully intend to make my year away from active practice my most productive and enriching year yet.

During 2024, I plan to:

• Pursue board certification through the National Certification Board for Massage Therapy and Bodywork

• Continue to take continuing education courses and attend workshops to expand my menu of services, focusing on:

  • Reflexology

  • Hot Stone Massage

  • Herbal Poultice Massage

  • LED Red Light Therapy

  • Trigger Point Therapy

• Begin a more formal clinical herbalism education through online programs from Herbal Academy of Bedford, MA, Commonwealth Holistic Herbalism of Boston, MA, and Botanologos School of Herbal Studies of Clayton, GA

• Focus more on the education and advocacy side of my online presence, developing my professional brand and sharing the things I’m learning with clients as I prepare to serve them once again

So as sad as I am to take a break from active practice after working so hard to be able to open my doors in the first place, I still have some pretty big plans for the year of 2024, and will be updating this blog every step of the way. I hope you’ll stick around to follow along!
